Dagmar Punter

Dagmar Punter is a PhD candidate in the field of Conflict Studies and Peace Research at Tilburg University, The Netherlands. Her current research focuses on ordinary people’s definitions and creations of peace. In addition, she is interested in the intersection between museums and peace education, the role emotions play in political discourse, creativity in conflict resolution and mediation. Previously, she worked as a Lecturer in Political Science at the University of Amsterdam. In her teaching she aims to facilitate open conversations around controversial topics where theory, world events and personal experiences meet. As a mentor she helped international students to develop their own interests and skills. She provides workshops for conflict resolution practitioners in the Dutch mediation field and enjoys volunteering as a trainer on constructive debating and professional development for various youth groups.
Dagmar holds a Master’s degree in Conflict Resolution and Governance and a Bachelor in Political Science from the University of Amsterdam.
