Ollie is a Bosnian-American educator and recent graduate of Macalester College, where they studied Linguistics and French with a focus on developing culturally responsive curricula. Currently working as an English language teacher in the U.S., Ollie has also taught in France and Turkey, bringing a global perspective to their classrooms. They are deeply passionate about refugee and immigrant rights and view literacy education as a powerful tool for empowerment and integration. Ollie’s commitment to social justice began in high school as a successful policy debater, later coaching teams both domestically and internationally. They believe in the transformative power of dialogue to foster understanding, bridge divides, and build more inclusive communities.
