Kazmyn Ramos is the Director of Services at Merchants Affordable Housing Corp. in Carmel, Indiana. In her role, Kazmyn is responsible for the implementation of resident-centered services in affordable housing throughout the state. That work creates partnerships with community assets to meet resident needs or secures funding for programming that brings value to residents. Additionally, Kazmyn supports a team of case managers who directly engage in addressing housing stability for those who’ve endured homelessness. In her previous roles, she’s acted as an advocate for Spanish-speaking children and families. Through that advocacy and her own experience as a resident of an affordable housing community, Kazmyn has been able to see the impacts of poverty and housing instability. These foundational experiences have influenced Kazmyn’s pursuits.
Kazmyn earned her Master’s degree in Spanish Literature from Loyola University Chicago and holds Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Spanish from Butler University. Kazmyn is a proud Indianapolis native and currently calls the city home. She will travel for delicious food and always says that Jay-Z is the first guest at her imaginary dinner party.
