Khatra Nur is a Somali-Dutch advocate for social justice and human rights. She holds a LLB in International and European Law from the Hague University and a Masters in Transitional Justice, Human Rights and the Rule of Law from the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights.
Professionally, she has worked with NGOs advocating for the rights of refugees, asylum seekers and stateless persons by providing legal advice and monitoring the quality of refugee protection in the Netherlands. Her research interests however lie in the field of transitional justice, particularly mass crimes impunity, denialism and memorialization.
