Kwolanne Felix

Born in Haiti, and raised in Miami Florida, Kwolanne Felix is a senior at Columbia College studying the history of the African diaspora. As the founder of the Inclusion and Diversity Committee at Columbia, she seeks to advocate for the needs of marginalized students through collaboration and community organizing. Kwolanne is also a UN OHCHR Fellow, and Scholar at the Saltzman Institute for War and Peace. She is passionate about international politics, human rights, development, and gender equality and has worked with organizations like the Council on Foreign Relations and the Malala Fund. In her free time, she writes a column for the Columbia Spectator reflecting on nuanced intersectional issues of her community. After receiving her BA, Kwolanne will pursue a master’s degree focusing on public administration and international development.
