Morten Svendstorp is working as Public Affairs Lead for Novo Nordisk, advising on the politics of the green transition and energy issues.
Prior to joining Novo Nordisk, Morten worked in a wide array of jobs in the Danish legislative and executive branch, including as a Strategic Advisor to the Danish Minister for Climate, Energy and Utilities. Previously, Morten worked as team leader of the Ministry’s Energy Governance Program, overseeing Denmark’s bilateral energy cooperation with the US, the UK, South Korea, Germany and the Netherlands.
Prior to working at the Ministry, Morten has also served as the Senior Advisor on climate, energy and the environment at the Danish Embassy in Washington and a political advisor to the Danish Socialdemocratic Party in the Danish Parliament for five years. He has also worked at the United Nations, NGOs and the German Parliament as well as a stint in journalism.
Morten received his B.A. in International Development Studies from Roskilde University in Denmark and hold a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University in New York, where he studied on a Fulbright Scholarship.
Cecilie has served on the Humanity in Action Denmark Board of Directors since November 2021.
