Rachel Landry has just begun her MSc in Refugee and Forced Migration Studies at the University of Oxford. Her general research focus is on the European Union’s governance of mixed migration along the Mediterranean and its response to the refugee/protection crisis. Previously, Rachel lived in NYC where she worked as the Director of Special Projects at the Center on National Security at Fordham Law, a national security and civil liberties research institute. Rachel was also active in WITH WINGS AND ROOTS, a transmedia educational project based in Berlin and NYC that centers on migration, citizenship, and belonging. She was a contributing author and editor of the project’s U.S. migration timeline and a coremember of its community engagement team. Rachel holds a BA in International Relations and French Language and Literature from the George Washington University. She participated in the Humanity in Action Fellowship in Berlin in the summer of 2013.
