Inclusive Youth: Art for Impact

Empowering young people through artivism, non-formal education, and advocacy for human rights, inclusion, and diversity.

Inclusive Youth: Art for Impact project, supported by the International Visegrad Fund, and implemented in partnership with EDEQEC (Slovakia), Humanity in Action Poland, and NESEHNUTI (Czechia), strengthens the knowledge and skills of young people across the V4 countries and Bosnia and Herzegovina in the fields of human rights, inclusion, and empowerment of women, minorities, and other vulnerable groups. Through a combination of artistic methods, non-formal education, and advocacy, the project aims to inspire youth-led social change and foster a culture of diversity and acceptance.

Participants will engage in an intensive educational academy, develop their own artivistic projects under expert mentorship, and implement peer-to-peer community initiatives. The experiences and applied methods will be compiled into a final publication, providing a toolkit for future action across the region.

Project Objectives

  • To empower youth with knowledge and skills related to human rights, diversity, and the inclusion of vulnerable groups.
  • To strengthen artistic, advocacy, and soft skills critical for the 21st century (creativity, emotional intelligence, communication, teamwork).
  • To foster youth-led initiatives promoting social cohesion and human rights through artivism.
  • To create sustainable, cross-border networks of young activists committed to inclusive community building.
  • To document and disseminate best practices in education through artivism for broader regional impact.

Project Activities

  • Online Artivistic Academy: Interactive online workshops and trainings combining human rights education with various artistic methods.
  • Artivistic Project Development: Youth teams, under expert mentorship, design and implement artivistic projects addressing human rights challenges in their communities.
  • Community Peer-to-Peer Events: Workshops, discussions, and presentations where youth share knowledge and outcomes with their local communities.
  • Final Publication: A digital and print toolkit compiling the methods, project experiences, and lessons learned, to inspire future initiatives across the region.

Target Groups

  • Young people (18–30 years old) from V4 countries and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
  • Participants from diverse cultural, ethnic, social, and economic backgrounds, including minorities and vulnerable groups.
  • Students, emerging artists, young activists, and youth interested in human rights, inclusion, and creative advocacy.

Participants will be selected through an open call and outreach via community, youth, and partner networks, based on an online application and motivation letter.

The project is co-financed by the governments of Czechia, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia through Visegrad Grants from the International Visegrad Fund. The mission of the fund is to advance ideas for sustainable regional cooperation in Central Europe.
