Episode 7: ‘Frítt Val? – The Struggle for Abortion Choice in the Faroe Islands’

During the 2020 Copenhagen Fellowship, our Fellows created a series of mini-podcasts delving into some of the topics covered on the Fellowship.

This episode sheds light on the complex aspects of the debate on legal abortion. Globally, the debate is dynamic, controversial and continuous. Even within Scandinavia, often perceived as the front runners of human rights, no consensus has been found. Here, the Faroe Islands serves as a window into a modern society with an ongoing discussion on the topic of legal abortion. The Fellows have invited two experts to guide us through this debate!

On Monday, October 19, ‘Hotel Kong Frederik’ (Hotel King Frederik) announced that they are honoring the co-founder of Humanity in Action, Herbert Pundik, by naming and dedicating one of their rooms to him and his wife Sussi. Room number “509” is now named “The Pundik Executive”.
