As hundreds of food banks are closing in Germany, social needs are on the rise

Around half of the 949 food banks (“Tafeln”) across Germany have stopped operating since the outbreak of the Corona pandemic, reports Senior Fellow Lena Kampf in one of Germany’s largest newspapers. In some places, Lena reports, donations have declined so much that there was simply nothing left to distribute. Read about the consequences of this here (in German).
