In May 2022, the government of Cyprus together with the UK government organized the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia (IDAHOT) Forum in Limassol, Cyprus.
Landecker Fellow Farah Abdi was invited to be one of the speakers at the event. Within the panel about LGBTQI+ asylum seekers and refugees, Farah focused on the challenges that Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming asylum seekers from 3rd countries face in Europe, and how member states can resolve those challenges.
