On February 22, the Bertelsmann Foundation’s educational blog Schule21 published an article written by Humanity in Action’s Antje Scheidler and Meital Rozental about the documentary project “Traces: Portraits of Resistance, Survival and Resolve.”
The blog, reaching over 2,000 education professional monthly, regularly publishes articles by guest authors and from the Bertelsmann Stiftung’s project activities on all topics related to the transformation of schools in Germany.

In addition, the three films of the TRACES trilogy — Voices in the Void, Two Trees in Jerusalem and My Father’s War — are now also available to educators via MUNDO, the open educational media library of the German federal states.
Teaching young people and subsequent generations the importance of tolerance and diversity for society is still of great importance today. The increasingly dwindling number of contemporary witnesses demands new methods of making room for this topic in schools and lessons. Humanity in Action initiated the short documentary film project Traces: Portraits of Resistance, Survival and Resolve to offer educators innovative ways to address the Holocaust and its consequences in the classroom.
