Landecker Fellow Reshma Persaud, as a part of the South Queens Women’s March, contributed to the second of three Holiday Food and Essentials Distributions in NYC. Reshma helped to distribute groceries, produce children’s books, toys, coats, personal care hygiene products, sexual health, and menstrual products, PPE, and COVID-19 testing resources to over 550 immigrant families in Queens. This Holiday Food Distribution was a joint effort by the Caribbean Equality Project, South Queens Women’s March, and the Bharati Kemraj Foundation.

Reshma is one of thirty Alfred Landecker Democracy Fellows.
