Details

Article

In late September 2022, The Office of the Human Rights Defender and the Stabilo Foundation organized a conference titled “The right to rest as a human right – preventing professional and activist burnout.” At the conference, Landecker Fellow Magdalena Wilczyńska was invited to present her desk research.

Magdalena spoke about how the law can contribute to one’s psychophysical condition. Her presentation was also shared in the Polish Dziennik.

In her speech, Magdalena discussed the anticipated Polish work-life balance directive which is based on increasing the scope of parental leave and facilitating the reconciliation of private and professional life.

“The Offline Right Directive ensures that employees are not required to answer phone calls or check e-mails after working hours,” Magdalena explained.
