Alexa Mohsenzadeh is a Robert W. Woodruff Scholar at Emory University where she is pursuing a degree in neuroscience and ethics. As the founder of Her Drive, she has led the distribution of over 800,000 period and hygiene products for people in need in 45 states across the U.S. Her work has been featured in the Chicago Tribune, NPR, The Kelly Clarkson Show, and CNN. Alexa has also partnered with Communities in Schools to provide 550 hygiene kits to Chicago and Atlanta Public School students and has distributed thousands of donations to the Oglala Lakota and Navajo Nations, immigrant detainees at Stewart Detention Center, and inmates in correctional facilities in IL, VA, and NY. Planning to pursue a J.D. post-undergrad, she is interested in the application of ethics in policymaking, and she hopes to be involved in impact litigation to reform the immigration detention system in the U.S.
