Annie Li (she/her), a second-generation Chinese American from New Jersey, is a PhD student in Religion at Princeton University. She researches race, religion, social movements, and memory, focusing on Asian Americans in the Civil Rights and Asian American Movements in the twentieth century. Using archival and oral history methods, her work is supported by the Asian Pacific American Religions Research Initiative. She has also received fellowships for nonfiction writing and social activism from the Association for Public Religion and Intellectual Life, Image Journal, the Faith and Politics Institute, and Imagining America. Previously, she earned an MPhil in Theology from the University of Oxford under the Marshall Scholarship and a BA in History and Sociology from Emory University.
