Helle Porsdam is a Professor of Law and Humanities and UNESCO Chair in Cultural Rights at the University of Copenhagen. She did her PhD in American Studies at Yale University, has headed a number of research projects, and has taught in the HIA summer program a number of times. She has written extensively on cultural human rights. Most recently, her co-edited volume The Right to Science: Then and Now, was published by Cambridge University Press in 2021, and her monograph, Science as a Cultural Human Right will be published in the University of Pennsylvania Press Studies in Human Rights Studies in 2022.
