Maja Bajić is from Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Currently, she is finishing her Master’s studies in Palaeobiology in Uppsala, Sweden. Her special interest is in the origin of life, palaeoenvironments, and palaeomagnetism. In addition to her academic pursuits, Maja passionately advocates for climate change awareness and social justice.
She combines her academic expertise with a profound commitment to promoting the importance of understanding how and why feminist movements and women’s rights are affected by climate change. In her previous works, she created policies and sets of guidelines which were used as a tool to make these issues more visible and recognised by relevant governmental institutions, and the public as well. These efforts aimed to contribute to resolving the climate crisis and to foster a fair and equal society capable of supporting all social groups during the transition to sustainability.
