Sebene is a political scientist focused on matters of immigration, citizenship, and social rights. She holds an MA in Public Policy (Development direction) from the Central European University, an M.Sc. in Environment and Development from the National Technical University of Athens, and a Bachelor’s degree in International and European Studies from the University of Piraeus. She currently works as a Policy Officer with a focus on social integration matters, in the Greek Non Governmental Organization HumanRights360. Before that, she did advocacy work around the right to citizenship/legal residence, on equal treatment, a get-out-the-vote campaign, and the monitoring of working and living conditions of migrant land workers in rural Greece. She is interested in issues of social inequality, racism, access to housing, as well as the exacerbating effects of climate change on a series of social issues.
