Stacey Reimann is a 2018 University of Chicago graduate from Alabama with a BA in Law, Letters and Society. His studies focused on investigating how racist U.S. legal strategies created barriers for effectively integrating public schools across the nation, including a case study of his home town in Alabama. Following graduation, Stacey spent the 2018-2019 school year as an English Teaching Assistant in Galicia, Spain through the Fulbright Scholars Program, where he organized a school program for students to share their stories as immigrants and refugees. Upon returning to the United States, he has worked in Washington D.C. for the Human Rights Campaign on a team called Project One America that addresses the inequity of resources across the South in the fight for LGBTQ equality. He also works as a barista and language consultant at a non-profit café and bookstore that creates a space for community organizing and activism.
