Alexander Busold receives the 2021 Alumni Achievement Award
Alexander Busold and Laura Franke received the 2021 Alumni Award from the Hertie School. Alexander founded the Her.Tietz Initiative one year after his graduation from the Hertie School in 2017. The Her.Tietz Initiative is committed to an open handling of the Nazi history of Hertie, an active commemoration of the victims of the Shoah, and to fighting Antisemitism today.

Youth Voices Lead
As a Landecker Democracy Fellow, Marissa is developing Youth Voices Lead (YVL), a paid, digital community and training program for 12+ youth organizers to strengthen their artistic tools and human rights knowledge to advocate for racial justice change. For around 10 weeks, these young leaders (ages 14-18) from across New York City will learn about the important issues directly impacting their communities and use artivism to inform others.
