Maya Ibrahim

Maya Ibrahim is from Singapore and currently based in Berlin. She is a writer and researcher on intersectional feminism, decoloniality and reimagining education. Currently, Maya is writing a book, “How to love our mothers” which is part of a larger project and community she is building that spotlights daughters perspectives-especially those living abroad and away from their family.

Previously, she co-founded Money&Me, a startup aimed at democratising financial literacy education for low-income youth in Singapore. She was later featured in a national newspaper for International Women’s Day 2022.

Prior, she worked in Management Consulting at PwC and Accenture. Later, her M.A. in Global Studies from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin took her to live, study and work in Buenos Aires, Bangkok, and Berlin.

Right now, she lives in Berlin and writes poetry, often performed at berlinspokenword.

Her work aims to address systemic inequalities linked to migration, gender equality, and education.
