Learning Assistance for Roma Children

The project “Learning Assistance for Roma Children” was supported by Humanity in Action as a grant competition project.

Learning Assistance for Roman Children is a grassroots tutoring service that seeks to support Roma youth in Warsaw’s Praga District. The project focuses on Polish Roma children because of discrimination that they face in school, even though research is showing that primary and secondary school is a key time for youth to learn about anti-discrimination work. In addition, by being able to study with their individual tutors, the children in the tutoring program are given a chance to improve their knowledge and learn new skills.
