Oy Vey Acts' website updates

Senior Landecker Fellow Lievnath and Landecker Fellow Jelle are both part of Oy Vey Acts, a grassroots Jewish movement located in the Netherlands that advocates for an inclusive Dutch society.

Recently, the group behind the movement came together to update the language on the website, which is now live here. “We have had to navigate expectations, stereotypes, blatant antisemitism, toxic conflation of Jews with Israel, all the whilst we were organising ourselves to be present in the movement,” says Lievnath, the co-founder of Oy Vey.

After months of learning (and unlearning), the website is now updated. To read about their mission and stance, visit Oy Vey Acts’ website.

Lievnath and Jelle are both Landecker Democracy Fellows. This fellowship, a collaboration between the Alfred Landecker Foundation and Humanity in Action, was created to strengthen a new generation of leaders whose approaches to political and social challenges can become catalysts for democratic placemaking and community building.
