Fellow Alexis Harrell was recently featured in an article on the University at Buffalo Website. The article by Charles Anzalone focuses on Alexis’ experience as a HIA Fellow. She became the first UB undergraduate chosen for the international Humanity in Action fellowship, which included studying human rights violations in Poland.

Alexis is now focusing on her Action Project to address community needs. Having worked at Gigi’s Playhouse Down Syndrome Achievement Centers, Alexis is aiming to increase the number of activities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) through photography classes.
