Host an international participant of the Amsterdam Fellowship from June 17 to July 3.
“You gain a new perspective from the Fellow because they are not someone you would normally encounter on the street or in your group of friends. Being a host expands your world a little bit”. (Nanda, host Amsterdam Fellowship 2024)
What is the Amsterdam Fellowship?
Humanity in Action offers educational and activating leadership programs. We encourage young people to advocate for a democratic, inclusive and just society. Every June, 18 students gather for the Amsterdam Fellowship. Through lectures, field trips, workshops and discussions, they explore their role in society and broaden their perspective.
What does a host do?
- You host an international participant from Tuesday, June 17 until Thursday, July 3. Programming takes place Monday through Friday from 9:30-17:00. Lunch and travel expenses are included in the Fellowship.
- Outside of these times, you can hang out or eat together as desired. The role of host is flexible and it can be as small or large as your time and energy allows for.
Why host?
- You make it possible for international students to participate in the Amsterdam Fellowship.
- You contribute to cultural exchange by exposing participants to a different environment and Dutch culture.
- You come into contact with new perspectives yourself, as the participants bring interesting insights through their background and the knowledge they gain during the program.
