Karakaya Talks receives support by Wikimedia and New Media Incubator

Landecker Fellow Esra Karakaya’s “Karakaya Talks” was recently accepted in the New Media Incubator and included in Wikimedia’s Reshape Program for greater equity in knowledge.

The New Media Incubator, run by the International Press Institute, invests in “media entrepreneurs developing creative, new business models and products shaping the media market today and tomorrow.” Needless to say, Esra’s Karakaya Talks with their strong social media presence was a perfect fit.

Furthermore, by participating in Wikimedia’s Reshape program, the Karakaya Talks team wants to further strengthen their presence on social media and continue to produce content that is often ignored in the mainstream media landscape.
