Landecker Democracy Fellow Asha Iman Veal will moderate an event on February 10th, 2021 at 6 p.m. CST / 1 a.m. CET. This event is called “A Photo History of Reproductive Justice: Special Presentation by Loretta J. Ross, Visiting Associate Professor of the Study of Women & Gender at Smith College.” Professor Ross will share a selection of photos from the Sophia Smith Collection of Women’s History and Asha Iman Veal. The event virtually takes places at the Museum of Contemporary Photography (Chicago); all can access it via Zoom.

Asha Iman is one of thirty Landecker Democracy Fellows. This fellowship, a collaboration between the Alfred Landecker Foundation and Humanity in Action, was created to strengthen a new generation of leaders whose approaches to political and social challenges can become catalysts for democratic placemaking and community building.
