Landecker Fellow Dr. Asha Shajahan helped to form a campaign to combat misinformation around the Covid-19 vaccination. The #ThisIsOurShot initiative brings together resources which include a coalition of ‘healthcare heroes,’ education on how to have compassionate conversations, evidence-based posts for social media to share information.
To share more about the campaign, Dr. Asha was interviewed for Cheddar News.
As the video interview highlights, the initiative has taken off and is combating misinformation which is often due to people being caught in echo-chambers. The goal of #ThisIsOurShot is to share accurate information that will empower vaccine hesitant people around the issue of the vaccine so they can identify misinformation and make a decision to get vaccinated.
