Over the last weekend of October, the 2022 Humanity in Action Fellows gathered in Warsaw to fine tune their Action Projects, which they are implementing in local communities following the summer Fellowships. This was also the perfect occasion for a networking dinner involving a larger group of Senior Fellows. Everyone was excited to see each other in person.
We began the Action Project Academy with a round of pitches and feedback, where everyone shared their ideas and progress. Without giving away too much, there is a podcast, workshop, art collaboration and exhibit in the making! As Paulina Filipowicz said (2022 Warsaw Fellow), “I am grateful we got the chance to review our Action Projects, it helped a lot to listen to everyone’s advice”.
Following Fellows’s short presentations, Karolina Biedroń, an alumni of the 2021 Warsaw Fellowship/Human Rights Academy and an educator, led a Design Thinking workshop. What is your target group – what are their needs and the problems they face? These were some of the questions Fellows were confronted with as they brainstormed their results-oriented and actionable projects.
Besides the in-person Action Project Academy Fellows continue finessing their projects during the online Action Project Labs within the larger inte
rnational cohort. Coming up next is the workshop on fundraising, an essential part of scaling any successful project. Stay tuned!
The 2022 Humanity in Action Warsaw Fellowship is supported by The Foundation “Remembrance, Responsibility and Future” (EVZ).
