Details

Article

Together with ‘Framer Framed’ and ‘Castrum Peregrini’, Humanity in Action The Netherlands organized two public symposia focused on the need to change the way cultural institutions in the Netherlands portray narratives and the need to connect these narratives to our national history. The first edition in the Arts as Resistance series was organized by Framer Framed and the topic was Art & Affinity. This first edition discussed how art shapes a sense of belonging to a particular group. Questions like “who are we” and “to which group do belong or don’t belong” were discussed during this session. The second edition discussed the ethics of cultural organizations and whether or not they should accept financial sponsorship from fossil fuel corporations. The second edition was organized by Castrum Peregrini.
