Two-day Training on Project Writing and Financial Reporting Held Within the Framework of the EDVACAY Fellowship

A two-day training on project writing and financial reporting was held in Sarajevo on May 8 and 9, 2025, as part of the third module of the educational program “Encouraging Democratic Values and Active Citizenship Among Youth“, funded by the National Endowment for Democracy.

The training was attended by 15 young participants who had previously completed the first two phases of the program. Through interactive lectures, practical exercises, and group work, participants became familiar with the key elements of preparing project proposals, developing activity plans, calculating budgets, and the basics of financial reporting.

During the practical part of the training, participants were divided into four groups, within which they developed concrete project ideas that, with mentoring support, they will implement in their local communities. The project initiatives covered topics important to youth, such as civic activism, youth political and media literacy, raising awareness about femicide, and promoting social solidarity.

At the end of the training, all four groups presented their projects to the other participants, further strengthening skills in public speaking, teamwork, and idea exchange. The training was evaluated as highly useful and motivating and represents an important step in preparing young people for active societal engagement.
