Anna comes from a small town in rural Virginia where she realized she had a passion for traveling and international politics. In going to multiple countries in Africa, she had the chance to further her interests and shadow the UNHCR in Kyangwali, Uganda. There, she knew she wanted to pursue a degree in international development and sustainability. Anna is a rising senior at James Madison University majoring in international affairs and minoring in creative writing in an effort to tackle issues on climate change, equality, and development paths in failed states.
