Charles Wintrub joined the Humanity in Action Inc. Board in 2023. He was appointed Treasurer in December 2023.
As a graduate of the University of Colorado, Charles worked his way up at Old Chicago’s flagship restaurant in Boulder before leaving his position as general manager in search of a career in advertising. That search lead him to a position with James A. Ford Advertising, Inc., a small business-to-business marketing communications firm in Stamford, Connecticut where he worked for ten years, rising to president of the thirty-year-old firm before buying Ford’s assets to form Catalyst Marketing Communications, Inc. in 1994.
Charles retired from day-to-day operations in 2018 and moved back to Boulder, Colorado. Catalyst would continue through 2021, after which Charles closed the company and helped its employees form a new agency.
Charles spends his retirement providing consulting to his former employees’ firm, volunteering and spending time with his grandchildren.
