Born and raised in Athens, Greece, Chrysanthi (Chrysa) Tsalafouta holds a BA in Classics from the University of Athens. During her studies, she also completed a semester in Berlin and a traineeship in Spain. In the future, Chrysa plans to continue her studies in the areas of refugee and migrant education and communication of refugee movements. As a passionate art lover, Chrysa believes that art is an essential feature in every successful education process and she is particularly interested in looking at art from a gender and cultural perspective. Chrysa has been an active member of the Erasmus Student Network for the past two years, promoting multiculturalism and integration across Europe. She is also acquainted with non-formal education and a supporter of its implementation in the current educational systems. In the future, she hopes to help include gendered perspectives on non-formal educational activities to be used by professionals and students alike.
