Emmanuelle Camara is, above all else, interested in cultivating human connection and understanding. Whether she achieves that through organizing cultural events at the University of Amsterdam’s Vox Pop, her published articles and photographs, or simply lending a kind ear to someone in need at the homeless shelter Stoelenproject, her pursuits are always focused on magnifying the magic that exists in the space between each other.
Emmanuelle navigates the world by combining the artistic with the academic and always translating her ideals into tangible action wherever she is in the world, from helping with community outreach projects in Manila to going door to door for Terre Des Hommes in Amsterdam.
Currently, Emmanuelle is tackling what she believes is the defining challenge of her generation – building a digital world that doesn’t let the human slip through the cracks of the 1s and 0s.
