Johanna Fuchs

Article

Johanna Fuchs is a Berlin-based political scientist and educator in the fields of discrimination and inequality, with a special focus on the intersection of the patriarchy, colonial pasts and presents, and capitalism. She is pursuing a master’s degree in “Gender, Intersectionality and Politics” and working on her thesis, which examines care practices within activist groups. Johanna is deeply interested in the topics of care and joy in activist spaces, especially in the face of the multiple crises we are currently experiencing. She strongly believes that transformation towards social justice and more livable futures is achieved not only through institutional changes on a macro level but also through shifting the ways we relate to one another. Her work is driven by the idea that promoting care, empathy, and understanding among individuals can create positive ripple effects that contribute to broader societal change.
