Maida Zagorac is a feminist, activist, and human rights defender from Bosnia and Herzegovina. She graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Sarajevo and is currently pursuing the European Regional Master’s Program in Democracy and Human Rights in South East Europe (ERMA). She serves as the Development and Program Support Officer at Humanity in Action Bosnia and Herzegovina, where she contributes to the design and implementation of programs that promote democratic values, human rights, gender justice and civic engagement. Maida is a 2022 Humanity in Action Copenhagen Fellow and a member of the Western Balkans Grant Committee of the Global Fund for Women. With over a decade of experience in the civil society sector, her professional and activist work centers on gender equality, human rights, peacebuilding, and social justice, with a strong commitment to advancing inclusive and equitable societies.
