Born and raised in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nikolina is currently a senior at the University of Vienna in Austria with a major in Political Science. She started her international journey as an AFS Highschool exchange student in Italy after which she volunteered at the local AFS chapter and became part of the European Federation for Intercultural Learning (EFIL) Pool of Trainers. During her studies, Nikolina discovered a great interest in the European Union which motivated her to participate in Europe Mobile program where she held workshops on democracy at twelve different schools in the Brandenburg region in Germany. Nikolina proudly takes part in the Academy for Young Diplomats organized by the European Academy of Diplomacy where she was awarded a Casimir Pulaski Foundation scholarship.
