Olga Plakhotnik

Olga Plakhotnik is a researcher at the University of Greifswald. They holds a Candidate of Sciences degree in philosophy from the National Aerospace University in Kharkiv (Ukraine) and a Ph.D. in sociology from the Open University (UK). Olga conducted research projects in the area of feminist epistemologies and methodologies, feminist and queer pedagogies, critical citizenship studies, and studies of feminist, LGBT+, and queer activisms. Their current research project examines imaginaries of sexual citizenship on the Ukrainian-Russian borderland: how identities and belongings are negotiated in LGBT+ communities in wartime. Olga is co-originator and joint editor-in-chief of “Feminist Critique: East European Journal of Feminist and Queer Studies“.
