Article

A French and British dual citizen, Rachel Forster was born and raised in Paris, France. She moved to the UK in 2011 to pursue a degree at the University of Oxford. After her graduation she moved to Edinburgh where she worked for 18 months before relocating to London for her master’s degree at King’s College London. Having completed her course, she worked as a temp for a variety of third sector organisations (e.g. Amnesty International); she then moved to Brussels for an internship with an NGO that worked with ethnic minorities and indigenous peoples, and later to Geneva for another internship with the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs. She has a particular interest in the rights of people who fall ‘outside’ the traditional nation-state system (minorities, indigenous nations, stateless people, etc.) as well as feminist and queer theory.
