Sakinah-Michelle Ahmed

Sakinah-Michelle Ahmed is studying political science at The University of Copenhagen while working at The Danish Institute for Human Rights. 

Previous vice-chair of youth organization Mino Ung København, and current Sustainable Development Goals Ambassador, she’s passionate about social justice, topics of (de)colonization and anti-discrimination, always with an intersectional lens. She has extensive experience around organizing, communication, doing presentations, developing and hosting workshops, moderating talks, as well as writing op-eds and speeches, the latter for which he has been nominated for “Speaker of the Year” in 2024 and a finalist for “New Voice of the Year 2025” awarded by Danske Taler. As a member of the board of The Student Union at her university, she’s concerned with topics of equitability, non-discrimination and ethical investment policies and academic collaborations. 

Sakinah is driven by solidarity and her hope of a better world, always ready to learn and help wherever she can contribute.
