Joseph A. Farsakh is the Co-founder and President of Helios, a technology company building the first AI-native operation system for public-private interaction. Joseph previously served as Senior Policy Advisor at the U.S. Department of State where he focused on the Arabian Gulf, and the Yemen peace negotiations. Joseph supported political and diplomatic efforts to resolve the ongoing conflict in Yemen, and developed and executed U.S. foreign policy related to the Gulf.
Joseph previously advised a Presidential campaign on Gulf policy issues, and prior to his public service, Joseph spent nearly ten years practicing law at a major American law firm. In addition to the New York office, Joseph worked in the law firm’s United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia offices.
Joseph previously served as a legal analyst for The Carter Center during periods of transition in key Middle Eastern nations. He also externed at the California Supreme Court for the Honorable Justice Ming W. Chin. Joseph previously served as the Co-Chair of Harvard’s Electoral Politics Professional Interest Council, and Harvard’s Diplomacy and Foreign Affairs Professional Interest Council. He is currently a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations and was awarded the 40 under 40 recognition from the Middle East Policy Council. He also currently serves as the Chapter Head of Harvardwood’s Washington, D.C. chapter.
Joseph holds a Masters in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, a Juris Doctor from the University of California, San Francisco College of the Law (Hastings), and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Los Angeles, and is an Orange County, CA native.
