Stories that move you

Article

Senior Fellows Nikola Lero, Azra Dizdar, Damir Kurtagić and Darija Sesar, wanted to create an online blog where all that passionate stories about a fight for a better society in Bosnia & Herzegovina, and more, could be written and published. For these young Bosnian and Herzegovinian activists, they wanted to showcase the peace building process in their nation and the actors in the civil society who are making it possible.

Far too often are these stories left outside of mainstream media, and sharing these experiences and stories served as an outlet and inspiration for future activists. The fellows found it extremely important to create an open media platform for young peacemakers to share their positive stories.

Through their project, Nikola, Azra, Damir and Darija are able to promote activism and freedom of speech/press. The process began by selecting an editorial team and dividing the stories they wanted to cover. Nikola serves as Editor in Chief and the other three Fellows serve as editors and content creators.

They hope to continue to utilize the site to interview NGO’s and feature peace building efforts of the future.

After publishing an initial round of stories, they decided it would be important to keep to a schedule and build their exposure. Using the Humanity in Action network, they have interviewed Fellows and hope to continue to do so, possibly featuring notable projects in the future.

Passionate stories about a fight for a better society in Bosnia & Herzegovina, but also personal, inner struggles encountered during their activist work.
