While these programs are not designed to develop advocacy skills, it is our experience that the educational experience will provide the intellectual foundation through which future civic engagement can grow.

While well-tested program components have become classics and are incorporated year by year in the Fellowships, the Fellowship focus shifts each year to the most pressing issues in Danish society.

Download the detailed program schedules of the Humanity in Action Copenhagen Fellowships below to get a better understanding of the topics our Fellows work on, and the pedagogy we use to discuss challenging social justice issues.

The Copenhagen Fellowship has since 2017 followed a three-year cycle. In 2017, 2018 and 2019 we investigated The Inclusive Society from a historical, a political and a cultural perspective. In 2020, 2021 and 2022 we have delved into the topics of The Unity of the Realm and Human Rights, and in 2023, 2024 and 2025 we will investigate the intersection of Climate Change and Human Rights.
