Webinar: Unsettling Human Rights

Article

On Wednesday, April 1 at 12pm EST, Senior Fellow Roo George-Warren will be giving the second webinar in his four-part series Rights and Resistance: The Ongoing Fight for Indigenous Sovereignty.

Throughout Roo’s talk “Unsettling Human Rights: UNDRIP and the Responsibilities of States to Indigenous Communities”, participants will learn about the history of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) as a continuation of indigenous resistance and as a challenge to individualistic notions of Human Rights. Participants will also discuss specific articles of the Declaration and apply them to specific moments in indigenous histories.

Join us on Wednesday, April 1 at 12pm EST/6pm CET and make sure to RSVP here to get the link.
