2020 HIA Warsaw Fellows fill the gaps in LGBT articles on Wikipedia

Details

Article

This year’s HIA Warsaw Fellows filled the gaps in articles on ‘LGBT-free’ zones and equality marches in Poland: Austin Wu and Wiktor Magdziarz providing information on the interventions of the European Commission, and the team Melani Cruz Stokes, Weronika Szwajda and Nathan Shearn adding info on the marches in Płock and Lublin.

Here’s what they say about this experience: ‘During our Humanity in Action Fellowship, we collaborated and contributed to an article on equality marches in Poland. This collective form of knowledge production required extensive reading, writing and editing. Ultimately, we hope that our contribution to Wikipedia provides a broader and more accurate context for learners interested in the topic of LGBTQ activism in Poland.’

Thank you for your contributions! 🌈
