On Thursday, October 12, 2023 Senior Landecker Fellow Elisabeth Becker Topkara is speaking at the final event for a project called Encounters, focused on Jewish-Muslim relations in European cities.
The event is taking place at Humboldt University, with sessions in the morning and evening.
Elisabeth will appear in the 6pm panel, and give a keynote speech titled “Looking Forward by Looking Back: Jewish and Muslim Perspectives on Belonging in Berlin.”

Elisabeth is one of thirty 2021-2022 Landecker Democracy Fellows. This fellowship, a collaboration between the Alfred Landecker Foundation and Humanity in Action, was created to strengthen a new generation of leaders whose approaches to political and social challenges can become catalysts for democratic placemaking and community building.
