The Dreaming beyond AI team has curated a residency named “In the loop” to artistically explore and question the ideas, perceptions, and experiences of time and temporalities in the context of the AI discourse.

Dreaming Beyond AI is a project and collective started by Senior Landecker Fellow Nushin Yazdani within the Landecker Democracy Fellowship, and brought to life together with Buse Çetin, Iyo Bisseck, Sarah Diedro Jordão and Meera Ghani.

The residency and its events will take place at Kampnagel Hamburg, and is realized in cooperation with ifa, Deichtorhallen Hamburg and Kampnagel within the framework of thehost.is residency program.

The residency will include the following events:
  • Unionizing the Speculative workshop: October 28, 12–1:30pm, led by resident artist Noam Youngrak Son
  • In the Loop artist presentation: October 28, 4–6pm
  • Talk: October 28, 6–7pm, the DBAI team in conversation with artist Vanessa A. Opoku

Nushin is one of thirty 2020-2021 Landecker Democracy Fellows. This fellowship, a collaboration between the Alfred Landecker Foundation and Humanity in Action, was created to strengthen a new generation of leaders whose approaches to political and social challenges can become catalysts for democratic placemaking and community building.
