Humanity in Action Senior Fellow Dr. Mariko Silver has been named as the new President and Chief Executive Officer of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.
Dr. Silver, who currently serves as President and CEO of the Henry Luce Foundation, will join Lincoln Center next month. A participant in Humanity in Action’s first Fellowship program, Dr. Silver has been a consistent source of support and guidance for the organization and remains a valued member of the Senior Fellow community.
“Throughout her impressive career spanning academia, government, philanthropy, and now the arts, Mariko has exemplified Humanity in Action’s core approach of opening space for dialogue and learning to advance equity and social justice,” said Talia Dubovi, Interim CEO of Humanity in Action. “Lincoln Center has made an inspired choice by selecting Mariko as their next President and CEO, and we wish her tremendous success in her new role.”
“Lincoln Center and New York are lucky!,” Dr. Judith Goldstein, the Founder of Humanity in Action, agreed. “Mariko, one of the earliest Fellows, will lead with great skill and strength as she has done throughout her amazing career.“
